2019 will see UpperEdge move from what has become the norm since the move to Racing in 2014, with a transition into full-time short track racing with the Super Late Models. The 358 cubic inch V8 template bodied cars will be run on the typical Wednesday nights with practice beginning at 8:00pm ET and will also be run with fixed setups, something UpperEdge stands behind.
With short practice sessions, single car qualifying, short heat races and 100 lap feature races (with the exception of the triple crown), getting to the front will be a challenge. The tour will kick-off in a big way with the first triple crown race and the 5th running of the Holiday Classic, which was originally scheduled to be a standalone event on December 19th. The tour will make stops at several top tracks such as Oxford, 5 Flags, Martinsville, and others including a unique visit to Rockingham.
More information for the series will be available in the coming weeks including a rule book and registration info. Watch for the website to be transformed to the new short track look in the coming weeks also.
